The Fulbright Board of Directors

 
   

Fulbright New Zealand is governed by a 12-member Board of Directors with representatives from government and private sectors of New Zealand and the United States. The United States Ambassador and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade serve as honorary chairpersons.

Chairperson

Barbara is a US Immigration Attorney in Auckland.

She has served on the Fulbright New Zealand Board since 2002.

     
Stephen Jacobi

Deputy Chairperson

Stephen Jacobi is Executive Director of the New Zealand United States Council, a non-partisan organisation committed to fostering the strongest possible relationship between New Zealand and the United States.

He has served on the Fulbright New Zealand Board since 2006.

     
Richard Nelson  

Richard Nelson
Treasurer

Richard is a Fund Manager and trustee of Taylor Investment Ltd. He is also a charter member of the New Zealand Stock Exchange's Asset Management Advisory Board.

He has served on the Fulbright New Zealand Board since 2006.

     
Helen Anderson  

Helen Anderson

Helen is Chief Executive of the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology.

Helen is a Fulbright alumna, who undertook seismology research at the University of California, Santa Cruz as a 1990 Fulbright New Zealand Research Scholar. She has served on the Fulbright New Zealand Board since since 2010.

Bob is Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy.

He has served on the Fulbright New Zealand Board since 2009.

Mark is Chief Executive Officer for Citi New Zealand.

He has served on the Fulbright New Zealand Board since 2009.

     
Rob McIntosh  

Rob McIntosh

Rob is Deputy Secretary, Strategy and System Performance at the Ministry of Education.

He has served on the Fulbright New Zealand Board since 2004.

 
Scott Optican  

Scott Optican

Scott an Associate Professor of Law at the University of Auckland.

He has served on the Fulbright New Zealand Board since 2007.

     
David Patterson  

David Patterson

David is a partner at Minter Ellison Rudd Watts.

David is a Fulbright alumnus, who obtained his LLM from Harvard Law School as a 1984 Fulbright New Zealand Graduate Student. He has served on the Fulbright New Zealand Board since since 2009.

     
Suzanne Snively  

Suzanne Snively

Suzanne is an economist and partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Suzanne is a Fulbright alumna, who came to New Zealand as a 1971 Fulbright US Graduate Studentto complete a BA(Hons) at Victoria University of Wellington. She has served on the Fulbright New Zealand Board since since 1996.

David Taylor

David is Director of the Americas Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

He has served on the Fulbright New Zealand Board since 2008.
