Alumni Buddy System

Fulbright New Zealand invites you to become involved in the Alumni Buddy System

This programme provides new and current grantees with an opportunity to buddy up with alumni in both New Zealand and the US and to benefit from their advice and experiences.

As a buddy you provide advice and guidance based on your professional experience and expertise, as well as your Fulbright experience.

For grantees it is an insight into the world of a former Fulbrighter and an opportunity to get some advice and support about their field of study, location of study or career choice and the broader experiences of living in the other country.

How the programme works

Fulbright New Zealand identifies potential buddies for every grantee.

We will match grantees with buddies based on the grantee's particular requirements, location and interests. Fulbright New Zealand contacts buddies and puts them in contact with grantees.

As a buddy, you can choose the level of involvement based on the grantee's request for advice or guidance.
