Fulbright-Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Travel Awards in Indigenous Development

Closing date
1 April, 1 July and 1 November
(annually)

Fulbright-Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Travel Awards in Indigenous Development are for New Zealand academics, artists or professionals to visit the US for 12 to 90 days in order to present their work to American audiences.

Fulbright-Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Travel Awards in Indigenous Development are sponsored by Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga (New Zealand's Māori Centre of Research Excellence). Travel Award exchanges must include at least one major presentation, which fit within one of Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga's research themes. Grantees are encouraged to maximise the impact of their award by supplementing their main proposed activity with others including additional public talks, collaboration with American colleagues, visits to sites of interest etc. Fulbright-Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Travel Awards in Indigenous Development are not intended principally for research trips.

A small number of Fulbright-Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Travel Awards in Indigenous Development are offered each year.
