Fulbright New Zealand invites you to a free public seminar by alumnus Grant Hannis, Head of Massey University’s School of Journalism in Wellington. Grant received a 2010 Fulbright New Zealand Scholar Award to research the depiction of Chinese goldminers in 19th century US newspapers, at San Francisco State University.
In this seminar, Grant will discuss how his Fulbright exchange benefitted his academic research and influenced innovative approaches to teaching journalism. Grant and a colleague were recently awarded this year’s Great Ideas For Teachers award by the American Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication, for their unique approach to teaching web-based reporting fast and efficiently.
Places are limited so please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org or 472 2065 by Wednesday 23 October. Feel free to bring your own “brown bag” lunch.
