All travel bookings (including US domestic flights) must be made through our travel agent.

Flight Itinerary

Your initial flight itinerary was included with the letter and information booklet sent to you in April.

Your departure point in the US is based on the address details given in your applications for the programme. Let us know if this information has changed so we can instruct our travel agent to alter your departure point.

A block of seats has been reserved for participants for the flights:

• from LA to Hawai'i to Auckland, and
• from Christchurch to Auckland to LA.

Connecting Flights

If you miss one of the flights that connect with your flight contact the Fulbright office immediately. Emergency numbers will be provided closer to the time - please ensure that you have these number with you at all times.

Departure to New Zealand

Participants need to be in Los Angeles to connect with a flight departing for Honolulu, Hawai'i on Mon, 12 July at 11.15am (PST).

Depending on your flights, you may need to spend a night in Los Angeles in order to make the connection to Hawai'i.

Departure to the United States

All participants will be departing from Christchurch, New Zealand for Los Angeles on Thurs, 19 August at 11.50am (GMT+13).

Stopovers

If you wish to make a stopover within the continental US, this can be arranged. Costs associated with these stopovers are your responsibility.

We ask that you not make excessive or unnecessary changes to your itinerary.

Stopovers in Australia or the Pacific are not an option.

Side trips

Organise any side trips with our travel agent before your departure to New Zealand.

Side trips must depart from New Zealand and return to New Zealand. Our agent will then alter your departure date so the side-trip connects with a flight from New Zealand back to LA and on to your home state.

You will be departing New Zealand 19 August. Do not plan to leave New Zealand prior to this date.

You are solely responsible for any costs associated with side-trips.
