Fulbright New Zealand is seeking applications from entrepreneurial individuals who are, or have the potential to be, at the cutting edge of New Zealand's knowledge economy and who believe they can contribute in a meaningful way to New Zealand's economic success. The Fulbright-Platinum Triangle Scholarship in Entrepreneurship has been created, with the support of the New Zealand and US governments and private philanthropists in both New Zealand and the US, to provide talented New Zealanders with the opportunity to study towards a Master's degree at a US university, as well as gain professional business experience in the US and in New Zealand. The award is valued at up to US$100,000 per award and will support scholarship recipients through their entire course of study at an American university, including an internship component, creating a powerful combination of academic learning and practical experience. To be eligible to apply for this scholarship the applicant must be a New Zealand citizen and a holder of a relevant four-year New Zealand degree or academic qualification(s). At the time of application, applicants should have applied to an American university. For 2005, preference will be given to applicants with an interest in the commercialisation of high-tech research or international business and marketing.
